Public reading of short stories and impact on Epralima students

On May 9, a public reading was held of the short stories that had been written as part of the Short Story Competition.

The stories presented and read were very impactful and emotional, not only for their authors, but also and above all for the audience who attended the reading.

The participants were enthusiastic; everyone found the public readings and the moment of debate/reflection very interesting. It provoked an emotional catharsis in some of the participants. Several members said that it was an event that should be repeated next year, as this event provoked an emotional catharsis in some of them.

After taking part in this competition, the students increased their empathy and awareness of their active role in promoting equity between men and women and eradicating gender-based violence. We would highlight the boys’ awareness of the different situations of gender-based violence that exist in the society in which they live and the important role they have in changing this reality.
