“Engaging with the European Parliament: A Virtual Session on Women’s Rights and EU Involvement”
On the 14th of February 2024, our school organised an online session with two Greek Members of the European Parliament. The main motivation behind it was to talk with them about what they do generally in the Parliament since our students don’t know much about it because the media rarely report on it. Moreover we wanted them to talk to us about womens’ rights and how they promote them in their work. When they asked about our school we emphasised our interest in the European Union and our current participation in an Erasmus project funded by the European Union. Both of them were very enthusiastic about our sincere interest and our direct involvement in activities that have to do with the educational dimension of the EU. They also mentioned that they know the Erasmus project very well and that they have participated themselves in its policy making actions.
