“Promoting Gender Equity: A Workshop for Teachers in Vaslui”

An activity of disseminating the results of the Erasmus+ project: “Schools for gender equity” took place on February 15, 2024, at the Ștefan Procopiu High School in Vaslui, during the workshop of the participants in the course “Playtime and Downtime for Teachers and Students: the psychology of Time to Feel Good and Do Good. 43 teachers participated in the dissemination, of which 30 teachers teach subjects of general culture (chemistry, history, geography, mathematics, physics, computer science, English, French) and 13 teachers teach technical subjects. During the event to disseminate the project on gender equality, we carried out activities aimed at informing and sensitizing the participants about the importance of gender equality: powerpoint presentation, open dialogue on this issue, exchange of ideas and good practices. The questionnaires administered at the end of the activity expressed the teachers’ openness to the issue of gender equity and the desire to be actively involved in its improvement. A particular interest was shown in the examples of good practices in various educational contexts at national and international level. Participants improved their knowledge of gender discrimination and reported a positive change in their approach to this issue.
