“Schools for Gender Equity: Project Presentation in Malaga”

Last week on 18/10/2023 the project “Schools for Gender Equity” has been officially presented to members of different organisations that carry out their activities in the District where AIIJ, the coordinator of our project, is located.

In particular, representatives from AFENES, AVI, Asociación Provincial Síndrome de Down de Málaga (Provincial Down Syndrome Association of Malaga), Asociación Malagueña para Estudios e Investigaciones Sociales (Malaga Association for Social Studies and Research), the University of Málaga and the Municipal Board of the District 11 Teatinos-Universidad from Malaga City Council participated.

During the event, we presented our project, its main objectives and its activities.

All participants found it very interesting and they underlined the importance of carrying out activities that are interactive and participative, such as the short stories contest that can also develop literacy competence, creativity and critical thinking in young people. Finally, the fact that the project involves different organisations from 6 European countries can give an added value to the project, providing and enriching it with different experiences and perspectives.
