Istituto Salvatorelli-Moneta Joins Erasmus+ Gender Project
On 27th October, at the Osma Auditorium in Marsciano a presentation of the projects that the Istituto Omnicomprensivo Salvatorelli-Moneta will implement during the 2023- 2024 school year was held. In the presence of the headmistress and the entire teaching staff, those responsible for the projects illustrated the characteristics and opportunities that each one represents for teachers and students. Importantly, the school, representing Italy, has joined the Erasmus+ project ‘Gender Equity for Schools’, an international project in which Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Romania and Greece also participate. The project includes various activities aimed at raising awareness of the issue of gender equality in our societies, with the dual aim of investigating how schools act to educate young people and to collect all the good practice data for use by European educational institutions in a publication. It is important to emphasise that the project is aimed at teachers of all disciplines in order to encourage a comprehensive reflection on the topic, so that it is dealt with in a multidisciplinary and transversal manner. To achieve this, workshop-type educational spaces and assemblies will be used, where young people, aged 14 to 19, can work and reflect together, guided by teachers and experts.
